not_my_sandboxHuh. I think I saw a toy hot air balloon being blown about in the skies above the train station. I wonder who released it.
Basically it is some sort of candle or some other flaming thing suspended below an envelope. And just like a real hot air balloon, the flaming thing heats up the air that is trapped in the envelope and the hot air keeps the whole thing afloat in the (surrounding colder) air.
At least I hope it was a toy balloon. Its a bit hard to judge both distance and size when something is flying that quickly though the air being tossed around by the wind. But if it was a toy, eep, what a fire hazard! It has been an absurdly dry winter.
