Amascut update
Oct. 29th, 2015 11:31 pmOk, now canon has Amascut going really soul-nomming crazy. And I don't think I can bring her back to Milliways (especially during Halloween) without an accompanying horror plot filled with her Devourers chasing down all the dead pups.
The Devourers look a lot like the aliens from Attack the Block, which is neat. Derivative, but neat. The Halloween event is a very derivative thing; a mishmash of things and shout outs to other videogames.
One interesting thing plot reveal is that Amascut's responsibilities were a lot more like the Egyptian goddess/demon Ammut before she abandoned her post in the Underworld. Before this reveal, she was an Isis/Ma'at mishmash that turned into a Sekhmet/Ammut mishmash because of a series of very unfortunate events. But apparently Amascut was not only charged with offering rebirth to worthy souls, she was also responsible for destroying wicked souls.
So Amascut is an Isis/Ma'at/Ammut mishmash before crazy, Sekhmet/Ammut after/during. Also, even more daddy issues.
Also, her brother isn't the saint fandom makes him out to be. He's atoning, and he's obviously good at looking like he's suffering greatly while doing it, but there are still some odd views on the world creeping out of all his self-flaggelation.
