Ever expanding multiverse
Mar. 10th, 2014 11:32 pmIt looks like from the initial spoilers that the 'verse has expanded greatly. The original human world finally has a name, Teragard, ruled by seven magisters and full of arcane tech. From there humanity colonized many other worlds under the guidance of Saradomin, and it was from there that Guthix brought the first humans into Gielinor, perhaps a long time after Saradomin's influence on Teragard faded and Sardomin abandoned humanity in favor of the Icyene. From Teragard also came Robert the Strong, goaded on by the Schism, the power behind Teragard's technology.
This is sounding a bit like W40K fluff. Welp, I can't claim Amascut had a major hand in Robert the Strong's genocidal quest against the Dragonkin, and I am glad I hadn't made such claims yet. This also sets the events in Runescape far into Earth's future most likely, since Teragard is sounding a lot like W40k's Holy Terra. How much of this Amascut will know is hard to gage. She was born on Gielinor, so I guess it depends on how much Tumeken knows. Which depends on how old he is, and what he is, besides a god. It is curious that the humans that Guthix brought to Gielinor brought none of their technology with them. Maybe they were refugees, or maybe volunteers and there were terms that Guthix imposed upon them. The dwarves where also very technologically advanced and they didn't bring any tech with them either, seemingly. Or maybe the God Wars and the Zarosian Expansion wars before made them regress much more severely than I have considered. The fairies... well, they had already established themselves on the moon. Guthix may have found Gielinor because of the fairies. He found them living on the moon before he found out it was orbiting a planet after all.
